RTE
Right To Education
The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act or Right to Education Act (RTE), is an Act of the Parliament of India enacted on 4 August 2009, which describes the modalities of the importance of free and compulsory education for children between 6 and 14 in India under Article 21a of the Indian Constitution. India became one of 135 countries to make education a fundamental right of every child when the Act came into force on 1 April 2010.
Education is the cornerstone of personal development and societal progress. It is a fundamental human right that empowers individuals, regardless of background or circumstance, to reach their full potential. By providing equal access to quality education, we ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Education fosters critical thinking, creativity, and empathy, preparing students not only for academic success but also for active citizenship and global engagement. It is through education that we cultivate leaders, innovators, and compassionate individuals who can address the challenges of today and shape a brighter future for all.
